origin story

The Lightheart family legacy of entrepreneurship and investment stretches back to the early 1900s when the six Lightheart brothers left their farm in rural Ontario to seek opportunity in the up-and-coming city of Vancouver. They built a successful factory and invested the proceeds into real estate, developing dozens of houses and apartments on Vancouver’s West Side. Many of these buildings are still standing after 100 years and have received heritage designations. Today, the Lightheart family has varied financial interests revolving around private equity, real estate, and professional services.
